I wear a mask

If you look closely you would see the salt water racing down both my cheeks

But the mask hides my true self

I fake a smile, a laugh, a twinkle in my eyes is not from joy but from tears yet to fall.

I fake my life at school, in the car, in my house. I let the mask fall only when I'm alone in my room in closed by the darkness. I let it fall my mask, my tears.

I am broken

I am lost

I am hurting

I am alone

I am no one

I am nothing.
