We save up today to live tomorrow. Einstein said that imagination is more powerful than knowledge. Thoughts can be dangerous. Beauty is just a perception, Chemical impulses firing up in the brain. Our thoughts inspire by our senses educated by society are caught up in idealism.
Through reason and rationality society allows our minds to perceive a false reality that perfection is achievable and means to a happy life. The sanctity of human life is lost through the means of profit. Like leaves falling from a tree a figure once covered in beauty that glistened in the summer sun now naked and withered so is our society. Little by little it is falling apart as it promotes the perfect image through the use of media, science, and technology revealing an underworld of children lost alone and cold as the warmth of love fades away leaving behind nothing but hate and pain.
We are all damaged hiding behind masks concealing our scars and pain because of a world that promotes perfection and punishes failure.
Technology allows us to connect with people at the opposite ends of the world but it has disconnected us from those that love us and are right in front of us.
With 3-D glasses we shut the windows to our souls. With earphones we silence the cries and dry out the tears. Identity is lost privacy is violated. We worship celebrities hoping that some day we could be perfect like them, but in reality they aren't perfect themselves. With no privacy being able to buy anything, being publicly humiliated when making mistakes. Living and acting a pretentious life for publicity and profit celebrities of yesterday would be considered fat today.
Drugs, alcohol, all sorts of addictions all fire up the same pleasure centre in the brain used to disregard the pain and fear underneath.
