The hill began to shake as dragon and rider soared through the winding tunnels within. The thin layer of earth covering the outlet of the hill broke into millions of tiny pieces of earth as Laurel, Iris and Kiruba burst through into the light. Kiruba moaned as for the first time sun light hit her body. She dropped her wings and hung suspended in the air by the lead connected to her mother. Iris struggled to carry her daughters weight and though she tried to fly higher she was dragged down.

The lake sparkled in the early morning light. The grass in the shadow of the trees' was decorated with tiny baubles of water. The trees and shrubs even seemed to shine. The crunch of the grass under Paige and George's feet was comforting. Paige reached in her back pack to get a bottle of water. It was boiling hot. She took a big swig and offered some to George, he accepted and drank the last of the water. The two carries and walked to the lake where they sat to eat their lunch. They lay back kicked off their shoes and dangled their feet in the cooling water. Suddenly a big shadow began to cover the lake. The temperature chilled. And both teenagers whipped their feet out of the water. An enormous creature covered the sun.

Karishma squatted to graze at the other side of the lake to Paige and George. She too lifted her head when the sun was blocked out. The giant dragon in the sky was getting smaller. Karishma called out to it. Why are you in my territory, why can't i see you well? Why have i never met you? The stranger began to sore down towards her. "No!" A small creature on her back screamed. "No No No!!" tears spilled down her face and she looked terribly sad.
