She thrusted her lantern out into the dark street, she had snuck out before.. But only because of the rebellion inside of her; this time, she had reason.
She looked both ways before stepping swiftly out into the cobble stone street.
She made her way down the dark labyrinth of streets when it opened in front of her.
The Midnight Market was what they called it. It was The city's best kept secret, and hers as well.
She was royal you see, not allowed to fraternize with the commoners, but being unlike her pretentious family, she'd fallen in love with the towns glass blower, who respectably made close to nothing, if not less.
She weaved her way in and out of the booths and stands, saying quick hellos, and selecting her nightly goods when his tent was suddenly right in front of her.
His back was to her, but she was still captivated, he was working on something, slowly, patiently. A characteristic she herself had never acquired and probably never will. That was one of the things she loved about him. They were complete opposites. It was his consistency juxtapose her wander that made them so fantastic together.
He knew she was there, he suddenly dropped everything he was doing, turned around and brought there bodies close together. "Run away with me." he took her hands as he breathed his one request, she nodded eagerly and followed; not sure where they were going and not caring where, as long as they were together.
