I have always seen your sorrow through those smiles you used to display

Now life has took a swift turn of events and I'm left hanging, thinking of you everyday

I sacrificed what I loved most to give you an honest company

Now I'm left wondering if our friendship was harmonious as a coordinated symphony

We took our time walking by your apartment blocks, giggling about tuxedoes on masculine men

Now I walk to college alone, in thoughts of what crimes I committed in pretend

I'll probably never imagine how you laugh about me, after years of trailing behind your every walk

Now I encounter your sisters by the bus stops who roll their eyes to look and stalk

I'll sit back and bite myself, reality keeps you winning.

But ask yourself this one thing, old "friend": Was this even friendship from the beginning?
