I'll tiptoe through the shadows, Another in the dark, Another form of blackness, Tail in a graceful arc.

Yowling out my business, For each and all to hear, Scouting out the smaller prey, By using my nose and ear.

I'm not bad luck, I promise, I'm simply something more, Familiar, companion, To a witch that's what I'm for.

To humans I'm a friend, though, A purring, loving cat, My black coat is no problem, They'll still just pet and pat.

Black cats running deadly, And black cats running light, Black cats will be on the streets, On Halloween this night.
