I have a clockwork angel,
Who rests just by my heart,
His metal shell lies dully,
A glinting piece of art,
His hair is smooth and silver,
His eyes are just like mine:
Reflecting what he feels inside,
Beneath his metal shine.
And even in times distant,
My angel's resolute,
Holding in his metal fist,
His dainty metal flute.
I imagine what he'd sound like,
The angel by my breast,
A chiming resonation,
Pounding through my chest.
I find him in my fingers,
The metal dents my skin,
For my little metal saviour,
He finds a peace within.
