There once was a woman who had it all. Had a house full of servants at her beck and call.
But this woman was greedy and wanted more, She hated mortality and she'd beat it, she swore.
She wanted to live and be greedy forever, And was willing to bargain to gain this endeavour.
So she went to the devil and reckoned with Him, And agreed to his parlay on a fanciful whim.
When eight years had passed and the lady had grown, She had met her now-husband and was far from alone.
The devil appeared and told her t'was time, The woman cried out, wished she'd not made this crime.
The woman was pregnant, He wanted her child, At the time of the contract, the offer'd seemed mild.
Her husband he left her, she was once more just one, Any hope of a normalcy was far and long gone.
