2 December 2012
I run alongside wolves today, I cling to fur and brawn.
I cry alongside wolves at night, Our howling so forlorn.
I track alongside wolves at dawn, Our paw prints in the snow.
I ride alongside wolves so long, We don't care where we go.
I run alongside wolves today, My stomach to her back.
I watch along with wolves at night, I know she will attack.
I drink alongside wolves at dawn, My mother in every sense.
I feast with all the wolves at eve, And step up my defence.
They call me 'child of wild things', Adopted by the pack.
The wolves they treat me as their own, They're what I need; you lack.
