Has anyone seen my watch? Time has run away... Infuriatingly it does this, When I want it most to stay.
I've searched my head and heart, Looked all over the house, Yet time has foiled me once again, Crept stealthy as a mouse.
I wanted just a second, A little Time's reprieve, But oh no, Time can't grant that! Can't give me any leave.
So here I find myself searching, For Time and for my pride, I have a fear I'll find it soon, It'll reappear: a crashing tide.
