There's a cog in my heart, Because without it I don't work, I imagine it shining copper, Amongst my body's murk.

I can almost hear it ticking, Every time I breathe, A never ending clockwork chime, I can't ever have reprieve.

It's strange that such a tiny piece, Affects my every day, But really, I need this tiny piece, To carry on my way.

Yet no one knows but me and mine, A secret in my heart, Imagine, I'd be lifeless: Without this one clock part.
