I sit by the river, The wind runs through my hair, Cross my legs and sigh again, I really have no care.

I watch the water ripple, Smooth lines of blue and grey, There's nothing here I have to do, Nothing I have to say.

A calm, a tranquil feeling, A blanket here of smiles, All I see around me is- Green grass for miles and miles.

Swans across the red sky, Painter on like art, A fox and cubs and vixen, Send a pang across my heart.

So much beauty round me, In the city there is fire, It seems that our humanity, Is making its own pyre.
