By day, I was a farmer's girl, Working on the land, By night, though, I was different, But they'd never understand...

I soared the skies at night time, Astride my dragon's back, Every wing beat sounding like: A mighty, beastly 'thwack!'

Me atop my dragon's chest, The wind sung through my hair, I spread my arms out, gliding, Free; without a care!

But then I would return, at night, And have to be, once more, That unremarkable farmer's girl, Who labours, tooth and claw.
