Hi guys! I've decided to start my own investigation into the cats and kittens that make Opuss tick... I'm going to be interviewing them!
Up first, I cornered Jack, aka MelchiorJ13... So, big thanks to him!
Q: Hiya. How did you come across Opuss?
A: I was looking through the App Store for 'writing' apps and I saw this paw print so I thought 'I love cats.' Then I saw that it was related to writing and I thought 'I love writing.' So then I downloaded Opuss and I was very happy.
Q: Aw, cute little story! What do you think the best thing about Opuss is?
A: Haha. The best thing about Opuss is definitely the community. Everyone is so supportive and completely bonkers and it's just absolutely amazing. Oh, and the 'meow' when a notification comes up, that's pretty wicked, too.
Q: That meow is rather adorable... What four words would you use to describe yourself?
A: Tis. Ummm, let's see... Unorthodox, introverted, otaku (obsessed with Japan and everything Japanese. Like, way too obsessed for my own health.) And awkward, but awkward in an unexplainable way, awkward in an awkward way.
Q: That was awkward. Wow. Okay. Onto number four: what's your favourite animal, and why?
A: Haha *awkward noises*. My favourite animal would have to be an Alaskan malamute, a husky. I connect with huskies, they're so freaking adorable and I sometimes have an awkwardly unorthodox urge to marry one, but I'd never do that. They're just so fun and excitable she they love the cold weather and snow and everything else that I love; I'm like a human version of a husky.
Q: I adore huskies, too, they're beautiful! Out of every single Opuss you've ever crafted, what has been your favourite?
A: They are beautiful... Okay, out of every single one, I'd have to say that my favourite is either 'Model Of The Media' or 'iGeneration (GenerationZ)'. I'm quite indecisive...
Q: I remember both and they were brilliant! So, if you could be one of the Avengers, which would you be and why?
A: Loki! He's just epic. He's a genius, he has telepathy, he can create illusions, just everything about him is so cool! And he's evil, hehe, that helps...
Q: Evil, huh? Better watch my back, Jack. Aha, I rhymed... Evidently people wrote for pleasure but was there a particular influence to you which inspired you to share your work?
A: Muahaha, we can fight good together, Heather, yeah... I can rhyme too. Well, ever since I was a kid, I've loved writing. I definitely write for enjoyment, but when I write, it just says everything I can never seem to put into words, per say (ironic, no?) it's literally just who I am. Honestly, if I didn't write, like, I'd be a completely different penguin. Yes, I meant to say penguin, not person.
Q: Penguins can be cool... COOL, AHA, see what I did?! What's one weird, yet obviously interview appropriate, habit you have that you don't mind sharing?
A: Yes, I do see what you did there. A weird habit.... Okay, let's see. Well, I'm a terrible grammar nazi, so, whenever anything is even the slightest bit out of my grammar line, I either have to correct it or I go a little bit mental and sink my teeth into something really hard and completely inedible.
Q: Oh, Jack. I'm also a grammar-Nazi. I get on EVERYONE'S nerves. I guess I'm just that sort of penguin! If Gollum and Voldemort were to fight it out using only insults who would you peg to win - defend your argument!
A: Perfect. I swear I've lost at least one friend by going completely grammar mental. Hmmm.... That's a tough one, personally, I think that Voldemort would win. He's got such a way with words and can twist people's minds. And he is so insulting. I bet he could beat Gollum in an yinsult war any day.
Q: If you say so... I would've gone the other way, myself. So many nose jokes can be used against Voldy! Last question! What tips would you give anybody looking to start writing on Opuss, or simply writing in general?
A: Oh yeah, I forgot about the nose jokes!!!!! Okay, if you're looking to start writing, don't let people pressure you or tell you what to write. If you enjoy writing, link it with something else you enjoy and draw inspiration from everything. Make sure you go places and see things, as well, experience plays a big part in writing. If you get writer's block, don't be afraid to just stop writing for a day or two, if you try to force the words, it won't work, trust me. Pick up the pen or iDevice and just try something out every now and then to see if you come up with any master plans. Think of random rhyming words and try to link them with any ideas you can think of. Draw inspiration from pieces that other people have written and don't worry if you can't find that spark for a while. If you truly enjoy writing, it will come to you.
Q: That's perfect, and that's a wrap! THANKS SO MUCH JACK!
