Deep beneath the water lies a city of its own, Where no mortal has ever set foot, no person ever shown. The city's made of coralline and breathes the salty sea, But it's inside the city that's the gem: that's where you want to be. The mausoleum boasts a hoard of ancient kings and queens, For underneath the ocean's top is more than what it seems. A people thrive where not expected, Living of the land neglected- By the humans if the air, If we can't breathe, we don't care. The city's walls are made of glass, Softened by the ocean's mass. The sandy floors are soft to foot, But to outsiders the city's shut. A secret of the hidden deep, Where these people wake and sleep. A place of wonder and of hush, To escape modern society's crush.

If only such a place existed.
