"well, Alice has to go home soon and I doubt she'd have time to walk me back so, Alex, would you mind" " yeah it's fine, it'll be cool and anyway I'll be able to get to know you" he smiled at me and my stomach lurched. As soon as the doctors said it was ok for me to leave we hurried out of the door. I can't stand hospitals anyway, they always seem to have an aurora of depression about them. It took along time to get home as I found out I was no good at using crutches. I kept on placing them incorrectly and falling over , knocking Alex over on a couple of occasions too. We made casual conversation and I found out that he truly amazing. He was on the cricket team and the rugby team of the school. I wondered why I hadn't noticed him before but it turned out he was in the year above him. Once we got home I invited Alex in and we both sat down on the couch. We talked about this and that and after a while there was a knock on the door. Alex got up to open it and to my surprise, I turned out to be Ben. He looked slightly confused at the sight of Alex, who's shirt was ripped and his abbs were still showing, but came over, sat down next to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek as if to say to Alex 'stay back'. "I came as soon as I heard, how are you feeling." he asked looking worried " I'm ok still feel a bit shocked and my ankle is doing nothing to help how I feel but apart from that I'm fine." I answered "anyway Alex this is Ben, Ben this is Alex" they shook hands stiffly "Alex was the one who saved me, I owe him allot I don't know how far it would have gone if he hadn't stepped in!" I smiled at him and he smiled back "it was my pleasure" he said taking my hand and kissing it. I blushed and Ben took my hand staring at alex, daggers in his eyes. Suddenly his phone rang. It turned out to be his older sister who needed a hand with her tech homework, Ben was very good with his hands, so Ben had to go. He gave me another kiss on the cheek and left. Alex came over and sat down next to me again. " well, he was nice" he giggled slightly as he said this "I mean for friends you two are extremely close" it was only when he said this that it struck me that Alex didn't know I was going out with Ben
