"come on, what are you worrying about It's only a house"

" yeah but it's a house that is notoriously bad at letting people out of it" but Alice was already running towards the house, Jenny followed only halfheartedly. They stood outside the front door, the house loomed over them looking slightly more unnerving, at this point even Alice was feeling a little apprehensive. "ready?" she asked grinning only slightly now. Jenny seemed to have no voice to answer with so Alice took that as a yes and slowly opened the door. It creaked loudly and as they entered and a mouldy, musty smell met their noses. The door slammed shut, plunging them into darkness. Jenny screamed and jumped into Alice's arms. " what are you doing?" Alice asked, stumbling slightly under Jenny's weight. "sorry, I was scared." as Alice put her down she spotted something on the floor. Kneeling down she picked it up. If was a portable tape recorder about half way through the tape. Jenny looked at her puzzled " turn it on, see what it says." Alice rewound the tape and pressed play a crackly male voice sounded from the device "somethings following me. I can feel it. What was that. Ok if anyone finds this it will be too late for me but you should still be able to save yourself. Run for the door and whatever you do don't look back, if you do it'll get you now run. Run for your life." a yell came from the device and it cut off. "ok we are totally getting out of here!" Jenny exclaimed, her face etched with fear. " I agree," said Alice " now run". And thats when they heard them, footsteps coming slowly towards them. As they ran the door seemed to get further and further away. Once they finally got to it they tried with all their efforts to open it, but it would not budge. That was when Jenny looked around. A chill set over them both and they gave up hope trying to open the door. They both turned around. Facing them was a sight that I could never hope to explain but for all I know the last thing those girls saw were two bright red eyes.
