In the shadow of the bomb, everyone lives in fear, Mothers put on a brave face, tell their children 'It'll be okay, dear', But inside they dread, That the world may come to an end, With the prospect of nuclear war, Hungary realises: too long, this has gone on for, But when they try to rebel, Not everything goes well, The soviets invade, Hungary's government cannot be saved.

Poem I wrote in History class about the cold war... (Bare in mind I'm not a poet- I'm more an imaginative writing type of girl, so it's not the best :P)
