Oh won't you come back? I did not mean to send you on the track. If only you'd have stayed, Listened to me, instead of all this pain.
I thought our love was the strongest, So why did you outrun this? I sit and cry every day, Wishing I had known what to say.
If you'll listen, I'll explain, I was going through a lot of pain, But instead of pushing you away, I should have willed you to stay.
Please don't judge me on that one mistake, That stupid thing I said when I felt like a quake. My temper snapped, it came out all wrong, And sent you running along.
My love for you will never fade. If only you thought the same. And I respect that you want me no longer, That is what makes my hope stronger.
