There is a girl.
She is staring at me; her eyes narrow slits, but from what I can see, are vibrant yellow.
How strange.
There is a glow from her eyes in the aphotic area of the shrubbery.
She shouldn't be here, but then I suppose you could say that about me, too.
The coloured light vanishes as the girl blinks, but reappears instantly.
I wave my hand; a friendly gesture.
The girl does not flinch.
Surely she saw my acknowledgement. After all, her eyes have been trained on me for hours.
I call out; still no response.
I hear the snapping of twigs beneath my feet as they guide me toward the yellow eyes.
I bend down so my face is in line with hers.
Still, she doesn't startle.
Before I can stop it, my finger reaches out to touch the girls cheek.
It's as if I have no self control; I'm captivated by the pricing yellow beam that shines on my face.
Just as the skin of my finger makes contact with the girl's, her whole exterior crumbles, and floats to the ground in a shimmering dust.
I divert my gaze towards the powder at my feet.
What had I done?
A low grumble attracts my attention, and I look up.
My eyes lock again with those vibrant, piercing yellow eyes.
Although this time they do not belong to a mysterious girl.
This time, they belong to a great, grey wolf.
As it stands over me, drool hanging from its razor sharp mouth, it looks barbarous and hungry.
This is based on a dream I had a few nights ago. Thought it would be quite fun to re-create it :)
