Lewis P.O.V. I careered into the car park of the first, and closest, hospital address, wheels screeching leaving black lines on the tarmac as I braked harshly noticing the lack of police vehicles in the car park. "Shit" I swore loudly to myself, speeding off to the sound of a few more car horns. I glanced at my watch irritably, almost ploughing into a car stopped at traffic lights. I held my middle finger up at the window directed to the driver receiving the same in return as I drove around him narrowly missing oncoming traffic. I chose the next closest address and heading as quickly as possible in that direction. My phone began to ring loudly - Eddies ringtone. I quickly dug it out of my jeans pocket and answered it pressing it between my ear and shoulder. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?" He bellowed down the phone so violently that I moved my head away from the phone without thinking so the phone slipped down the side of the seat. "Fucks sake" I sighed, driving one handedly frantically trying not to hit anyone and rummage around for the phone. "LEWIS! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO FUCKING WELL STAY AT THE STATION? OR DID I NOT MAKE MYSELF CLEAR ENOUGH? STAY. AT. THE. FUCKING. STATION! I'M NOT SPEAKING CHINESE" he yelled "Yeah yeah I know" I muttered finally grabbing the phone and positioning it between my ear and shoulder a little tentatively this time. "Well? What have you got to say for yourself?" He demanded "I wanted to see her, sooner rather than later" "You're sounding like a petulant child!" He scolded "Petulant? How the hell am I being petulant?" I asked angrily "You're sulking that you couldn't come and had to wait and being bad tempered that when you do 'attempt' to try and come I'm wondering why the fuck you've disobeyed YET ANOTHER DIRECT ORDER! So being petulant! Now go BACK to the station and WAIT! Otherwise I will take back the order that you are not to be arrested for dangerous driving for the second time in two days!" I glanced in the wing mirror and saw a police car sliding into view close behind me, without a doubt waiting for Eddies order. "I don't need to be worrying about what you're doing while trying to get back my sort of daughter ok?" He added tiredly "You? Worried about me? Are you going soft?" I joked "Hmph don't count on it, only because Delilah holds you in such high regard. Anyway this is getting a bit tricky, go back-" "Tricky? Tricky how? I'll come and help-" I interrupted only to be interrupted myself. "No don't come, we've had to call out the fire service to get her out and they're struggling so I can't see what you can do-" "I can, I don't know, talk to her through the door-" "She can't hear us. The doors too thick and she's behind bullet proof glass in there" "Just let me be there please" I was close to begging him now. The blue lights began to flash on the police car behind me and I pulled over dejectedly. "I'm guessing that's a no" I sighed "Mr Aesom" Daniel Redgrove's stern voice sliced down the phone. "Mr Redgrove" I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose as I forced myself to stop the car. "Do not come. I do not want you here" he said formally with no explanation whatsoever. "What about what Delilah wants" "She's been through a traumatic time-" "And you think what she wants is a shitty father she's never met before?" I scoffed "I've done everything in my power to keep my daughter safe" he argued "And look at how that's turned out!" I shouted back at him "I'm sorry to have to do this but; if you come I will shut you off completely from her!" He growled, his words made me pale quickly. "You wouldn't" I breathed dragging my hand through my hair. "I'm a very powerful man, I know many people. Do you want to run the risk that I'm bluffing?" He asked. I closed my eyes, hand still in hair, and dropped my head onto the steering wheel. "No..." I didn't even want to contemplate loosing her for a second time. "Good. Goodbye" his voice was clinical before he put down the phone. "Bye" I muttered to myself dragging myself out of the car as the policeman knocked on the window. I curled my hand into a fist around the phone walking around the front of the car and hurling it into the windscreen. It shattered with a gratifying smash before I trudged towards the police car and climbed in the passenger side. "Don't let this become a habit. Me picking you up for dangerous driving" muttered the policeman, it was then I recognised him as the one who pulled us over the first time. "Don't worry. I'm not counting on this happening again" I murmured staring out of the window. "Can you not take me to where they are?" I asked tiredly "If I wanted to be out of a job - yes" he answered sinking the ride into an all new low.
Delilah P.O.V. I'd been sat there hours, the only way I knew how long I had been was the watch strapped to his dead arm. The stench was was getting worse I was becoming so nauseous at points I kept dry heaving but unable to be actually sick. The siren still blaring although I had become deaf to its continuous drone. I was absolutely freezing, I couldn't stop myself from shaking. A muffled crash brought me into reality. My head span around quickly to see the door laid on the floor and many pairs of eyes staring back at me. I couldn't bring myself to stand up not trusting my legs. I placed my hand flat on the door and let the tears trickle out the corner of my eyes. Finally. Finally someone is here. Finally someone is here to get me out of this nightmare.
