So she walked that weary road again, kept looking both left and right.
She knew it was here, it had to be, it was where they lay that night.

He told her she would be okay, she was his beautiful wife. As he lay beside her that dark night, as she slowly lost her life.
It's was only when the wreck was cleared. They found her wedding band. He keeps it safe on a chain, never placed it back on her hand.
To him, it keeps her ever near and he likes to hold it tight. Not knowing she goes back to search, for it night, after night, after night.
