As we leave the winter behind, I've written a little something to remind us about what the very best parts are about! Do enjoy-L
Sitting inside, with a good cup of tea,
And a warm mince pie, all for me,
Wrapped in a blanket so the cold doesn't bite,
Nice and snug on this cold winters night.
The log fire burning, flames licking the air,
The bright colours, dancing withought a care,
People are relaxed, the mood is light,
Everyone's calm on this cold winters night.
The snowflakes fall, lightly to the ground,
Softly and gently, not making a sound,
The ground is covered, with fluffyness of white,
Making this a real, cold winters night.
The rosy cheeked carrolers, come knocking on the door;
And the charity raisers, who remind us of the poor,
We're all at peace, and we all unite,
Living in harmony, on this cold winters night.
Mulled wine and mince pies, always on show,
Laughing and playing, the children in the snow,
Snowballs and snowmen, a common sight,
This is what makes, a cold winters night.
Presents are wrapped and left by the tree,
The stocking's are hung, there's one for me!
The chocolates are opened, we all have a fight,
For the very best part, of this cold winters night.
Snuggled in our beds, and trying to sleep,
But failing miserably at counting sheep,
Too excited, santa comes tonight!
There's magic in the air...on this cold winters night.
