Welcome to the world A place you've seen before A house of horrors at a carnival A place blighted by war

Where children cannot roam free The streets are filled with knives People wielding them on infants Destroying so many lives

Guns are used to slaughter kids No mercy for their years The burning spark of life is doused With rivers of anguished tears

Suffering is a way of life For the people in the gutter But the world turns a blind eye The people pull down their shutters

Acres of forest destroyed everyday To build hundreds of roads Criss crossing like earthly scars To transport the rich mans load

Something closer to home The elderly afforded no care Left to themselves, to be lonely Nobody knows they were there

A little newborn miracle appears Into a life that's cruel They will never get the chance To play with friends at school

They must work or they die It's a truly simple concept But we can make a difference This challenge we accept

We can make a difference Use our lives for a greater good Than wealth and a big house In a quiet neighbourhood

It is amazing to have those things But is that all we strive for? People are dying preventable deaths Is that big house really to die for?

Take some time to use your heart Go and help another Truly brighten someone's day Save a sister or a brother

I'm not saying give it up You can keep your wealth But what is the use of money If you only share it with yourself?

Join a charity, protect the innocent Join a soup kitchen, save a life Join a help group, give vital advice We can end this chaos and strife

Does that sound good then? People will look up to you You will be an everyday superhero Brave, honest and true.
