All day long I must stay here And how the wind does sigh When it sees my tears fall It whispers do not cry...
I'm forced to sleep through everyday But I'm free inside my dreams Inside I'm feeling hurt and vengeful Although truly peaceful I seem
My mornings are monotonous My afternoons much the same At night I cannot see the stars The price you pay for fame!
Blessed at birth by godmothers With magic in their souls And one who was so spiteful that Her heart was black as coal
To save my life, I had to sleep A hundred years or more! When I wake up you can bet that I'll try to even the score
I'll thank the one who put me here Into this great deep sleep But I want the other one to pay For putting me in this keep!
The highest room, the tallest tower We've all heard this sorry tale I'm hopeful for my true loves kiss So her evil spell will fail
I'll admit there's strong hatred Residing in my quiet heart I never wanted to be like this From my dear family apart!
She's taken away what can't be given The gift of memories and time About this I feel passionately She ought to pay for her crime!
I will have my happy ending Whether she likes it or not! My prince will find me lying here With my bouquet of forget-me-not
I will fall in love with him After all he'll save my life Then I'll travel to his great kingdom And there I'll be his wife!
