Take a look at the night sky Far from city lights And tell me it's not beautiful A truly breath taking sight
Thousands of twinkling stars Are littered across the sky Diamonds on black velvet So soft on your skin, you sigh
The swirling soup of stellar dust Is sprinkled amongst the dark Forming distinctive patterns Like the rivulets of bark
A tree of life, a galaxy Rotates far above Though you can barely see it You have to believe in love
Your love for the beauty on show It brings joy to your heart That even in the darkest hour From light you never part
Deep inside of each of us There is trapped a star A glowing light, a radiance Determining who we are
Untainted by fluorescing bulbs The light of stars is pure The light in souls is much the same Of this I remain sure
Take heart from this belief That inside a ray of hope Shines to guide us in our need Allows us strength to cope
Whatever life may send our way The temptations to which we succumb We can still find our way back home Before our minds grow numb
Life is a journey In which you find yourself A voyage of self discovery Is a fountain of wealth
So next time just look up at the stars Why not take a chance Don't sit back and watch it pass Stand up, be counted, dance
Dance like no one can see you Because its your place To let the light of the stars Gently caress your face
Let meteor rocks, disaster zones Prove to you a gift As they pass through the atmosphere To shooting stars they shift
A flash of light, a wish made Granted by self belief You're worth so much, it's painful To see you steal away, like a thief
You rob yourself of opportunity The chance to become a somebody Look up at the constellations And set your spirit free
