I shall watch the world burn And laugh because in my heart I know that it was all my fault I perfectly played my part!
I cannot wait to see this! The screams echoing around Send my mind all aflutter My heart begins to pound
My body is shaking, trying to stop Me from sharing my glee But obviously it doesnt know that There is no stopping me!
My face is painted to express A permanent clownish smile And all this destruction let's me feel This happiness! It's so vile!
I love to see the suffering Of people who dared to think That they actually had a purpose! It's their own poison they drink
See how easy it is! I hear how the people bleat When I plunge the city into chaos Let terror run through the streets
I shall take your city As easy as from a child I will paint your city black Let my imagination run wild!
I may throw in some orange too Bellowing into the night Pathetic yellow and passionate red Will add colour to the sight
The flickering flames climb higher And the strong heat bathes the city People are crying, screaming out Ha! I have no pity
What's this? A spotlight dances Begging the man they call bat To rescue them from inevitable darkness Hero? He's not all that
He has power, just like me And power is easily abused But none are more skilful at it than I My soul and evil are fused!
Evils a matter of perspective In my mind I know I'm right To watch this fated world burn slowly To make these creatures fight
It isn't even a battle like that One of right and wrong I just want to hear the pleading It's better than any song
I have no petty scruples I have no limiting boundaries I'm enjoying torturing this place The people are on their knees!
Pleading with me to have a heart Whoever thought that, take a bow I forfeited my heart long ago The worlds my oyster now!
