I hopped on a plane, with hopes you still reside there. It's been years, and my passion still sleeps here. I sat next to a man, who was in a dire need for a warm bath. But, I did it for you.
I smiled, as I thought of us. Down by the water, the sand between our toes. Our hands intertwined, between us. When we'd go home, and intertwine in the most romantic way possible. We fit together perfectly, in every way possible.
When I got off the contraption, I inhaled the spring air. I began to walk out the sliding doors, a smile on my face.
I walked downtown, with hopes I'd find you. It was a long shot. I did see you though, standing there with a phone pressed to your ear. I smiled as I began to walk, and you stopped your talk. You looked at me... Over me? I slowed down, and looked around in confusion.
My silent questions were answered when a little girl ran from behind me, a woman trying to calm her down.
I watched as the little girl jumped into your strong embrace, and you kissed the other woman. I felt tears in my eyes, while my throat closed dangerously so. I couldn't breathe. Every time I looked back at your happy family, I felt worse.
I let the sobs free, as I silently wished you the best...
Luck of the draw really screwed me over this time.
