Chapter 8 Spying Is Not Kind
Jackson O'Brian swayed in his swiveling chair as he absently tapped his pencil impatiently on his large oak desk. His door swung open, and his co-worker, Bambi Maloy, came bursting in. Her beautiful cocoa colored skin was shining-from a new layer of lotion-and her brown hair was in curls around her perfectly sculptured head.
She threw down a folder with no pockets onto his desk, over his large and firm hand. Some of the papers came bustling out of the folder with no pockets."You know where he is. Quit stalking the poor boy and let him live his life. He has finally mated-"
Jackson's eyes grew fierce and he jumped up from his chair."With the enemy, Ms.Maloy! You have no say in how I act or what I do in my sons life."
Bambi sighed and she rubbed her perfectly manicured tips over her closed eyes."I'm sorry Mr.O'Brian. I know I'm lucky I even know about your families secrets and the treaties. I know how you said mere mortals don't have a clue about were wolfs, but this isn't about YOU anymore. This is about your sons happiness! I don't feel comfortable prancing around and spying on this boy who is only 18. I'm 25, I'm not some naive college goer who thinks I can make a few quick bucks by spying on my co-workers son!"
Jackson threw himself back into his computer chair and waved his hand aimlessly in the air.
Bambi took this as his silent demand to be gone. She sighed unevenly and heavily, she opened the door,"Just think about him before yourself sir. Or your family'l be damned. I'm not some witch or anything, but I believe in karma. If your not kind to the universe, the latter will not be any kinder to you." She told him before stepping out.
He took a deep breath before he took the pale folder and opened it and began reading. _________________________BACK WITH BUFFY AND ANGELUS______
"Sudoku!" Buffy exclaimed, snatching the small book and shoving it into the basket Angelus was carrying.
"Babe, ease up on all the entertainment." He spoke, noting the five 'People' magazines and three 'OK' magazines. There, along with the magazines, was 'The Vampire Diaries' series, and 'The Hunger Games' series. All hardback. There was also two jars of peanut butter and a small bag of carrots and ranch.
Buffy pouted before running into the next aisle, her 5 month pregnant stomach firm and large as she ran slightly.
An old couple he'd been speaking to while Buffy threw random stuff into the basket, smiled at him."I'm gonna follow the blonde." He waved and followed after his girlfriend.
