I wish to live in an endless summer
Where the water will lap slowly at my feet
Without pulling me in and under.
Where the sun will beat on my back
To melt the ice around my body
Present as a result of the seemingly endless winter.
Where music will play and serenade the souls
Of a million people across one stretch of sand
As their hearts sing and rejoice for the end of the suffering poem
I wish to live in an endless summer
Where there is no cold around my bones
And there is no frost around those whom we love
But I fear it may take more than a change in the weather
And more than the sun
To end our endless winter.
