Your Pit Bull today... My German Shepherd tomorrow.

What determines a dangerous dog? Is it the way it looks or how it acts? Some dogs are judged for their size and power but look at the facts.

I've been brought up with large dogs all my life even when I was small. I've never once been bitten or attacked by a large dog that I can recall.

It really pisses me off when some dogs are given an aggressive press. Shown to be barking or snarling over fences is something I detest.

There is an advert on Tv right now that advertises sofas after a hard day. Showing a German Shepherd jumping a fence and chasing a child away.

It is true some dogs have caused fatal injury but who is responsible? Look a the dogs that protect your country or used by a police constable.

It really does matter how the dog is raised and what training it receives. Dominant dogs are hard to rear but bad owners are my pet peeves.

The Breed Specific Legislation focuses on how a breed of dog can look. The dog could be so well tempered but they are still thrown the book.

Little dogs can do just as much damage to a human and carry more fear. But its the larger dog bites that get slapped on the news that you hear.

New laws to protect both dogs and humans need to take affect soon. Well behaved dogs are sent to death row and await a lonely doom.

Imagine if your loved family member became the next of the four banned. You'd have to give up your dog is that how you had it all planned?

It's time to speak up for those whose voices are bared as aggression. It's time to start giving our dogs a good name and a right impression.

You didn't know that the kennel club has a recognised good family pet. Staffordshire Bull Terrier for families has been the suggested one to get.

Just because one feature of a dogs anatomy makes his bite a bit worse. Does not mean all your family are in danger of driving off in a hearse.

I'm against prejudice to a dogs breed to decide if it lives or if it dies. How ever if a dog shows it's dangerous sadly it should find its demise.

Kids should never be left alone with dogs because kids push their luck. One day the child could push a dog too far and start a disturbing ruck.

All dogs need the right handling and room to grow and play correctly. You must learn to do it right and your dog will grow up almost perfectly.

I am a dog lover, I prefer breeds by how they act and behave in traits but I also see like a human that dogs have individual personalities. The Dangerous Dogs Act was created in a rush to help prevent fatal dog bites but some statistics have shown that dog bites are still occurring far too regularly and not just by the four banned breeds. Today these four breeds are illegal to own and are repossessed and destroyed. You would never do that to a human so why is it ok for us to do it to an animal? The BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) Specifies on a dogs looks and nothing else... Who is next? The German Shepherd? Rottweiler? The Staffy? Where does it define what makes a dog dangerous? I've actually been bitten by a Terrier or spaniel quiet a few times... I put it down to the owners. It's time to change the laws. The Laws should be about any dogs individual behaviour and temperament and given a chance to rehabilitate.
