What do we have here? Two eyes peeking in through the glass. A drenched little kitten sat all cold in the garden on the grass.
I looked sadly for the poor little fur ball sat in the pouring rain. With large green eyes she looked through the window pane.
All cold and wet how could I not feel sorry for the little mite? All shaken and shivering, I could see her eyes were full of fright.
Opening the door quietly, I slowly walked out towards her. She cowered and mewed as I bent down to stroke wet fur.
Realising I was no threat she let out purr as I brought her in. Stormy night, power cut, candles lit the room it was all dim.
Drying her off in a towel by the open fire as it flickers and roars. Warming us both right up, she yawned and curled up to her paws.
Rubbing my thumb up the bridge of her nose she let out a soft purr. It was from that moment on a smiled so deep because I loved her.
Silver fur glistened drying by the fire as the night drew to and end. We curled up close and fell asleep each with a new best friend.
