There are millions of ways both of them could have survived together. Maybe Rose shouldn't have jumped down from the lifeboat so that Jack wouldn't have wasted a lot of time trying to run away from Karl. This is the issue about love again; would we call it happy ending if the princess and the prince live happily ever after but separately?
