I wanted to write a 'Merry Christmas' poem but the words just wouldn't come. As many of you know I've had a somewhat roller coaster of a year: falling out of love, falling in love, losing friends, making friends, being unemployed and lonely, and being in a long distance relationship. And now, on Christmas Eve, the man I love is 6,000 miles away. It's a hollow celebration for me this year, but I shall try to make the best of it. Your wonderful #adventchallenge pieces have really cheered me up and helped me retain a little festive spirit!
What I'm trying to say is thank you Opuss and thank you all my lovely friends. I don't know how I would have survived this year without you all - your support, friendship and kindness has been simply wonderful. Through the good days and the bad you've read, liked, commented and given me heartfelt affection. This year I'm simply thankful that I met you all.
So, have a good one! Don't overdo it on the booze and turkey and spare a thought for my Johnny as he celebrates on the other side of the world.
