There's a spark
Like a shooting star,
Or faceted diamond,
An explosion,
The beginning
And end of
A new world
In your great,
Naive green eyes,
Wide as lakes,
Deep as space,
Full of promise,
Mischief,
Of never ending
Questioning.
If life should
Keep us apart,
Or slowly, quietly,
Push me from
Your worn heart,
And if time should
Fade my memory,
So I forget
The way you look,
The fall of your
Disheveled hair,
The line of your
Well crafted jaw,
Your smile,
The way you move,
I swear, even at
The breaking of
The world,
I'll never forget
Your eyes of
Greenest gold,
Hewn from
Fire and emeralds.
