When you finally replied "I'll miss you too" Tears glowing in your Green, green eyes As you kissed me Again and again, We became whole, Two fractured hearts Mended by the weight Of our love, combined, And it'll keep me alive Through the quiet autumn, Winter, of our love affair, Whilst it slumbers, hibernates, Over eight long months Of missing and wishing, Through falling leaves, Bare fingers of trees, And snow, drifting in My heart, until I'm frozen through, The only warmth from Memories of you, Then the inevitable Explosion of spring, When you return to Nurture our kindling love, Let it finally grow.
