There's a miracle in you,
A twisting of what's normal,
An unreasoning non-logic,
A little heathen magic.
You're so broken
But your words all ring true,
You're an unnatural disaster,
A plague of hoping for the best,
You go bump in the night,
You're the thing under the bed.
Your surface is a mirror,
Full of scratches, reflecting
Anything but reality,
A contradiction in terms,
Statutory rape of all
My sensibilities,
Make heaven into purgatory
And somehow you still
Shine through like
The sun held in my palm.
Though all the parts are wrong
There's right in what you do;
There's a miracle in you.
