Ok I've mentioned the story I'm working on, I started it last year and was put on the back burner until opuss gave me a fresh burst of enthusiasm to finish it. My problem is it was going to be a little short piece with the feeling of an H.P. Lovecraft tale but through filling out the world in the story it's become something entirely different. I'm new to writing so the question is should I let this piece become a long fully fleshed out work, or should I stick with my initial intentions of a shorter darker story with the possibility of using all the other ideas which add to the characters experience and world in a different story in the future?
As it is I'll keep writing but would like to know what people think!
