Up above me is a ledge I remember being there Three bottles of beer ago
And in front of me are parts of a girl And a broken shop window
I remember writing I remember jumping (or wanting to) I remember walking I remember shopping (for memories of you) I remember drinking I remember punching (breaking the glass in front of you) I remember holding I remember squeezing (the plastic limbs from you)
And here we are now, your head in my arms The wailing of the shop alarm
An Oxford crowd standing around My misery is their entertainment found My mind unhinged by the sights and sound
Of my heart broken in a man a Kin to the broken limbs of a Manakin scattered on the ground
