Two snakes in the grass, Coloured in black diamonds, asked Me 'Jack, what's your poison?'
'Poison, you mean passion don't you?' The snakes laughed, hissed themselves To an unglamorous end, tied up in their own
Verse: 'Jack, what do you call a girl who Always says she loves you, but Never wants to see you, or have you?'
And more; 'Jack, how come the vial Marked 'Poison' is half full and yet, The vial marked 'Passion' is half empty?'
I shrugged, watched them shrivel up In their mirth, and dug them a quick Grave in the unforgiving earth
Two snakes in the grass, Lost under a metaphor of Uneasy loneliness.
