The dripping of water echoed through the dark mine shaft as the two teenagers carefully tread down into the empty darkness. Luke takes off his backpack and pulls out two torches. He hands one over to Lilly and the pair switch them on. The light from the torches reveal the rotting corpses of the creatures victims all pinned to the walls of the mine shaft. The body's all have their bottom jaw missing and no teeth along the top of their mouth. Luke slowly moves the dim light of his torch up the arm of one of the victims revealing the pickaxe wedged into their hand. "Lilly I think the rumours where true." Lilly looks at Luke in terror as she realises the danger that her life may be in. She takes a deep breath as a tear steams from her petrified blue eyes. "come on let's just get this over and done with" Luke says. Lilly nods at Luke as she is too terrified to speak. The pair continue into the darkness and the sound of dropping water has now turned into the sound of cries for help further into the winding tunnels.
