The sun shone brightly through the curtains, waking Daniel up. He turned to see Rebecca still asleep, resting soundly underneath the crisp, white sheets.
He couldn't help but smile. What had he done to deserve her? He kissed her lightly on the cheek, his way of saying "good morning gorgeous" without waking her up.
As he snuck out of bed to go to the bathroom she stirred, a smirk etched across her face.
"What was that for?" She asked, her smile lighting up his day.
"Sorry I didn't mean to wake you up," Daniel replied, a smile soon appearing on his face. "I just couldn't help myself." He gave Rebecca a cheeky wink, before hurrying off to the bathroom.
When he returned, she'd fallen asleep again. Daniel laughed, and joined her on the bed. He kissed her again on the cheek, whispered "I love you," in her ear and fell asleep again, in paradise.
He could understand her tiredness this morning after the celebrations of last night. After all, they were now engaged.
