Family is family. You are supposed to stand by them no matter how hard they make it. Whatever you are imagining about what mine is probably wrong. Nobody got hooked on drugs or stole a car or got a girl pregnant. It was so much worse than that.
They tried to force me to kill my best friend and when I couldn't they killed her right in front of me. How was I supposed to stand by that?
