Butterfly- strength and power hurls your body forward with each stroke. That keyhole pull and the flick of the feet throws you forward.

Backstroke- the kick changes from fly and you get into a rhythm with your feet. Twisting you arms in mid air with each stroke pulls you forward.

Breaststroke- your arms and legs work at different times but propels you whole body forward. Your head tends to nod but control it for perfection.

Frontcrawl- taking your strength to the limit and pushing you body through to the finish line. High elbow recovery helps the body an mind win the race.

By the way my mum is a swimming coach.
