Red

First up is something white. Of the blinding kind. Some of you are most likely thinking that white is not really a colour and all that tired sort of nonsense. But I'm here to tell you that it is. White is without question a colour, and personally, I don't think you want to argue. By the way, I'm Sherlock. And I am NOT a detective, but a light young boy with a very dark secret.

Paylesville has been monotone for as long as I can remember. Papa says that he cant remember either, or Grandpa, Or Great Grandpa! Besides the point, everyone in Paylesville sees black and white. Including me. And my best friend Jacob. The other very obvious thing was that it was the driest summer we have ever seen. So when the 50 year storm came, it was a very big surprise. But lets go back to the beginning. All the way back to 6:38pm , the shack, 39 Aylesbury Rd.

Jacob and I were sat in our secret hideout, The Shack,(Inventive, huh?), when I first heard the news.
" The 50 year storm is coming. Tonight " warned Jacob.
" Whats that? "
" Malcolm of the water told me. The 50 year storm is going to be the biggest tycoon the Whole of Paylesville has ever seen! They say it gathers all the storm energy for 50 whole years before releasing the beast! "
So it was then that we heard that terrifying clap. The sound of destruction. Together, Jacob and I sprinted out into the storm, and welcomed the fall of rain.
" Rain can hardly hurt me now! " called a man near by. So we waited for the rainfall to stop. After 46 minutes and 39 seconds, I realized that it was going to take a lot lot longer to end than three quarters of an hour. The rest of Paylesville retreated to their homes, waiting until the end of the 50 year storm. But when it did cease, no-one was prepared for what they saw. I remember Mama fainting beside me, and Papa clenching my shoulder. In front of us there was a tree, and grand old oak, and crazily, it was bright, crimson, red.
