Waiting, waiting, still waiting For the sun to drop over the horizon The weight of the day too strong to hold itself up It's fall is inevitable and slowly and reluctantly The night is closing in
Watching, watching, still watching As the colours merge to create a spectrum Warm tones of red, orange and pink spread across the sky And it's hard to say where one stops and another begins
Wondering, wondering, still wondering What it must look like from the other side Somewhere across the world people are watching the sun rise I wonder what colours flood through their skies
Waiting, waiting, still waiting For the night to finally arrive So I can sleep and wake for the sun to rise the next morning And the cycle to begin again
