Aston villa took one step closer to premier league survival yesterday with a deserved draw away to West Brom. The match was a dogged draw awash with several shouts for a penalty for either side, but neither got there wish.
Villa were a different side yesterday although there winless drought now stretches to 13 games. Villa had the welcome return of centre half Dunne who inspired Villa to record their 16th draw of the campaign.
Villa are now possibly just a game away from premier league safety. The teams around them won and drew however, but at least they are one more point towards safety.
