So Villa lose at home yet again after another poor performance. The match was all even for the most part and it wasn't until the 63 rd minute that Villa opened the scoring via a Warnock goal. Bolton however quickly equalised with a Petrov penalty and an N'gog goal to sink Villa deeper into the relegation battle.
I have to say that Villa do deserve to be where they are. All season Villa have simply not played to their best. The fact that selling some of their best players over the last few years should be no excuse. Villa should have re-grouped and realised that the team was not based around those key players. The axe is now hanging ever so close above Mcleish's head. Mcleish has not won over many fans this year and has probably added more unhappiness to his ever shrinking fan base.
The season may not be over, but Villa have just three games to turn their season around. Out of the five clubs including Villa that are in the relegation battle, Villa have the most to lose. This being based on Villa being the biggest club out of the five and the most successful. Looking at Villa's predicerment they prove that no club no matter how big or small can avoid falling from grace.
