20 August 2012
At first I assumed my reactions were along the lines of terrified, and shocked, because nobody was introduced to the situation traditionally. Well, as traditionally as any movie had introduced it. There was no news report, there was no sign of a new disease, that brought up suspicion in the paper. It just happened. Slowly. I lived in New York, possibly one of the worst places you could've lived during the disaster. People walked the streets, brain-dead, tired expressions, and pale skin while everyone was still alive. But it didn't long for the entire city to come falling down. Buildings slowly fell to pieces, and there were fewer and fewer people everyday. Nobody really payed attention to any of the mildly suspicious occurrences, until the incident on 5th Avenue. I believe it was around 12:31 when the news report aired. I know I said there were no direct news reports on the disaster, because there wasn't. The event was classified as a sever act of cannibalism, and with the near recent 2012 cannibalistic reports, 2016 reports didn't sound that scary, anyway. Nobody really worried about an apocalyptic scenario anymore. After the two failed arrivals of Niberu, and Harold Camping's May 21st incident, anybody who predicted the near end of life as we know it was considered insane. Internet forums always went crazy, which was a laugh, and you could hear the disrespectful chatter of my neighbors whilst they walk down the street. But nothing made sense anymore.
I mean 2011 was ridiculous, with every single Christian, Doomsday-er, and Elderly Citizen on the Internet claiming the end of the world. 2012 seemed to be a target for upcoming disaster stories.
