Much like that old buddahist story about the simpleton who found Nirvana through the task of organising the shoes outside the temple, all the other monks made fun of him, whilst they meditated all day, trying to reach enlightenment.
Yet happiness and enlightenment is on the simple things, on the love for ones labour, on the sound of a river like Siddartha understood in the end. It was thus that the simple monk found enlightenment through the menial task of organising shoes.
